Had a beautiful meal in Lava Rock in Cahir Co. Tipperary.
Staff were very friendly and lovely decor.
It had been on my bucket list as I’d heard great reports especially about their desserts.
Definitely will be back.
The portions were very large. We probably could have shared a meal for lunch. The stir-fry was very flavorful and they were accommodating the vegetarian request. The Cajun chicken salad was much less flavorful, it was still good, but really just a panko breaded fried chicken on top of a heavily sauced salad. No tap water available, only bottled.
It was a rainy day, but we sat outside in what they call “the shed” — far nicer than the name suggests — and they kindly served us from the restaurant side.
We shared a chicken burger that was absolutely fantastic (so glad they served it whole), and I also had vegetable soup with brown bread plus a few glasses of white wine. Cozy, friendly, and highly recommended.
